Open User’s Desktop Directory from Command-Line on Windows

Open user’s Desktop folder from Windows command prompt (cmd.exe):

cd %HOMEPATH%\Desktop

The environment variable %HOMEPATH% is the current user’s home directory, example:

C:\Users\User1\

So %HOMEPATH%\Desktop will open the current user’s Desktop folder:

C:\Users\User1\Desktop
